Hi, I’m Lauren

I'm a product designer at IBM and the hands-on designer for IBM Bob for Z (AI code explanation, formerly watsonx Code Assistant for Z). From the original interface to its newer chat-based features, I create the interaction patterns, screens, and user flows that make complex AI tooling feel clear, helpful, and human.

I started in software development and switched to design in 2019, which means I design developer tools as someone who's actually shipped code. That keeps me close to the people I design for and comfortable in technical, ambiguous problem spaces. Since then I've built design systems, led design on enterprise products like z/OS Cloud Broker, and helped engineering and design teams work more closely.

I believe users are never just one persona, they might be a developer, an executive assistant, or even you. That belief keeps me curious and grounded in everything I make.
